Our Kitchen Design

Our kitchen was recently remodeled before we moved in.  Although it is not necessarily the design I would have created, the previous owners took the care to create a kitchen that fits our home.  The finishes and style work well with the craftsman elements of the rest of the home.  For an older home, the kitchen is quite large, and the layout is pretty functional.  Sprucing up by painting and removing the vinyl floor helped a lot, but we needed some decor.

If you haven't noticed by now, I love black & white.  With the dark countertops and white trim, this fit perfectly with the space.  And my previous kitchen accessories in red and aqua fit really well into the scheme.

We still need window treatments, but it is coming along nicely.  Photos to follow!
